PROF. ANIMESH DUTTA

Dr. Animesh Dutta is a Prestigious University Research Leadership Chair Professor and the Director of the Bio-renewable Innovation Lab (BRIL) within the School of Engineering at the University of Guelph, Canada. With a distinguished academic career, he has held faculty positions at the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand and Dalhousie University in Canada. Dr. Dutta’s research focuses on advancing clean and sustainable energy technologies, addressing global shifts in energy needs. His team is dedicated to converting biomass and various wastes, such as agricultural residues, plastics, tires, and food processing by-products, into bio-renewable fuels, chemicals, and materials.

Dr. Dutta’s prolific scholarly contributions include over 450 publications, co-authored primarily with his Highly Qualified Personnel (HQPs).
