Prof. Jinlong is currently the vice president of the APEC Sustainable Energy Center (APSEC). His expertise covers energy system planning, renewables, power sector development, energy management and efficiency, electricity market, climate change abatement and energy transition solutions. He previously held senior managerial and technical position at international advisory firms (DNV, WSP, SMEC), energy corporation (ENGIE) and China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI). One of the main research themes at APSEC that Prof. Ma Jinlong leads is energy transition solutions and net-zero strategies in APEC region. Dr. Ma is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, International Association of Energy Economics, and a fellow of the Australian Institute of Energy.
